Hello from Indonesia!!

2023 started pretty roughly for us personally. The California rainstorm this month has caused considerable damage to our roof that needs immediate attention. At this point we're still waiting for the insurance company to inform us how much will be covered by it. Let's just say were expecting at least a few thousand of dollars out of our own package.

Well, at least we don't get flooded like some people in certain area. And if you are one of them, I'm so sorry for the loss caused by the flood. It is very stressful dealing with this kind of situation, my heart and prayer goes to you.

That's the bad news, now on the good news side....

One of the highlights of the new year for me personally is when one of my fans brought to my awareness that I’ve been turned into a Disney’s animated movie Raya and The Last Dragon That is very cool and the movie is nothing short of awesome judging just by the trailer. I’m a non movie goer so I have little knowledge about most movies especially the new ones recently released. This one is from 2021. Have you watched it? If not, then perhaps you should check it out.

Another exciting thing is that I just arrived in Jakarta at my bff's home on Thursday at midnight. It's been over 3 years I haven't seen my parents and family. The last time I was there was for Bali retreat in November 2019. I'm going to their house (my teenaged home) today Sunday.

Though it's perhaps not a perfect time to go home to Indonesia since we have so many challenges back in California I just feel I need to do this. I'm so excited that I will be spending 4-6 weeks with my parents, friends and family starting from January 27. I just
need to be with them to make sure they're alright. I miss them -and the food- so bad! 
 
So I will also work from there it goes without saying and I will be in time for the Lion Dance Festival 15 days after the Chinese New Year which is today (so Happy New Year of the rabbit to you all!!) that my hometown Bogor is famous for and I will surely report it live from there for you all. It might be my last time going home as a "free" citizen (meaning not needing security
guards even though I know I'm being discreetly followed and protected 24/7).
