If you see the classic Buddha's image is with his eyes closed and his third eye at the center of his forehead opens. His physical eyes are the windows to looking outward and his third eye is the window looking inward.
It's the eye that watches one's own movement in one's own psyche.
Someone with an open their eye will never go back to sleep and become unconscious again. They're awake and aware and ALERT.
Those who are alert will never slide into depression or mental anguish.
Why do I say so?
Healing is a process of reclaiming and reconciling every denied and repressed part that makes us human. A healed mind is a wholesome mind, a Buddha mind. It’s centered and crystallized. It doesn’t attach hence it sees with utter clarity.
What is mental health? It’s a state of equilibrium, a sense of general contentment and inner peace with one’s own self, one’s own life and in one’s own skin. Very little projection is done by mentally healthy people. Look into that aspect in yourself.
So the goal of inner work isn’t about being “good,” but being whole. It's about being in the state of equilibrium or centered. When you’re whole being good comes naturally because wholeness brings inner peace. In the peaceful mind there’s no need for political maneuvering that brings toxicity.
So this program is really an adventure toward greater awareness, greater self-acceptance, self-love and self-trust.
And you grow in compassion toward yourself and your own flaws, you grow in compassion toward others as well.
